Ansley & Mark Engagement
Ansley & Mark
I am so excited to be a part of this sweet couple’s upcoming wedding day next May. We went out to their wedding venue to capture some engagement photos. It was a beautiful evening and we had fun walking around, chatting about the wedding plans, and capturing some sweet moments. I have known Ansley for a while now and her family is special to me and I can’t wait to see her walk down the aisle next year.
Here is a little background on their story.
How They Met
Ansley first met Mark’s sister at a basketball game one December. The following May, Mark randomly called Ansley and said he remembered her being at the basketball game several months earlier and meeting his sister. Mark then asked Ansley out on a date and she said yes.
The First Date
For their first date, Ansley and Mark went to Chili’s on a double date with some friends. Ansley said it was awkward at first because they both had not really met in person. Ansley had only met Mark’s sister at the basketball game in December. So this date was the first time they met in person.
During their date, the power went out at Chili’s, but they still enjoyed their meal. After the meal, they went to Pelicans to grab a snow cone. They had a wonderful first date. After her first date with Mark, Ansley knew that Mark was the one for her.
As a couple, they enjoy going on trips to the lake, the beach, and exploring new cities. They also enjoy going out to eat, watching movies, and spending time with their families.
The Proposal
Ansley had no idea a proposal was on the way on the day it happened. Mark was graduating from college, so he told her they were going to take graduation pictures after his graduation. Ansley was so excited to see Mark graduate and was looking forward to celebrating with their friends and family later that day at a cookout.
Ansley’s best friend was there to capture the whole thing. During their photo shoot, the friend told Ansley she wanted to just grab a few pictures of her alone. Ironically just before the proposal happened, a man out walking his dog asked if they were taking engagement photos. Ansley emphatically said, “Oh no we are just doing graduation pictures.”
Right after that happened, Mark was ready to ask the question. She of course said “Yes!” Mark had planned this out several weeks before and their friends and family were waiting for them so they could celebrate both a graduation and an engagement.
About Each Other
Ansley says she loves Mark’s sense of humor, his love for the Lord, his leadership, his smile, and his sweet servant’s heart. Mark said he loves Ansley’s smile, her determination, and her jokes.
The Wedding Day
In regards to the question, “What are you looking forward to the most on your wedding day?” Ansley had this to say:
“I am looking forward to our first dance the most!” I know it will be special to me. We will have been together almost 6 years by the time our wedding date comes. I love dating him, but I cannot wait to be his wife! I am excited to have our own house together and to start our lives together as husband and wife.”
I know Ansley and Mark will have the best wedding day, but I know they will also have a wonderful life together.
I cannot wait to celebrate with them next year.
